Caleigh Pistorius, B.A., CT I Clinical Intern

Caleigh is an ENFJ and a dedicated, collaborative counselor-in-training. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from The University of Dayton and is currently pursuing her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University. Caleigh is completing her clinical practicum and internship and has her counselor trainee designation from the Counselor, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board. She is currently supervised by Anjelica Nelson, MAEd., IMFT-S, LPPC-S. 

Caleigh is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and spent her early career as a paralegal working in Immigration and Family Law. She decided to pivot her career towards mental health after seeing how much impact she could have by building meaningful emotional and interpersonal relationships with clients. She is interested in trauma-informed care, navigating life transitions, family conflict, navigating health diagnoses, anxiety, & depression. She is committed to providing a safe and affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients.

Caleigh’s therapeutic style is warm, person-centered, and she often views the world through a systems lens. She plans to work with individuals ages 18 and up, creating a safe space where clients feel empowered and can dive into self-exploration to move toward healing. In her free time, Caleigh spends her time cooking, practicing yoga, running, watercolor painting, and going to the movies. She is filled with immense gratitude when spending time with friends and family.
