
Stephanie Ferraro, M.A., LPC I Therapist
Stephanie is an ENFJ that strives to provide a safe & brave space for her clients as she walks along side them in their healing journey. She believes in the power of the counseling relationship and the client as expert in their own lives. Stephanie attended The University of Akron where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During her time in graduate school at the University of Akron, she received a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies. Stephanie is currently under the supervision of Anjelica Nelson, MAEd., IMFT-S, LPCC-S.
Stephanie’s previous experience working in community and private practice settings, allowed her the opportunity to work with diverse individuals. Stephanie provides counseling for gender diverse individuals, men, women, adult and young adult individuals. Her interests include suicide loss, women’s issues, gender issues, LGBTAI+ issues, trauma, adjustment and life transitions, communication and conflict resolution, wellness, anxiety, and depression.
Stephanie uses trauma informed, relational-cultural, DBT, ACT, and feminist techniques in her counseling practice. Stephanie’s approach is relational and focuses on the growth fostering client-counselor relationship which emphasizes the importance of connection to the self and others, through mutuality, authenticity, and vulnerability. She can meet the client where they are and adapt her approach based on their needs. Stephanie seeks to empower clients to achieve their mental health and wellness goals. She currently sees individual clients ages 18+.
