Aaliyah is an INFJ who is very passionate about assisting individuals, couples, and families in becoming the best versions of themselves through therapy. She earned a psychology degree with a minor in human development and family studies from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Akron. Aaliyah is a licensed therapist under the supervision of Anjelica Nelson, MAEd., IMFT-S, LPCC-S.
Aaliyah specializes in working from a systemic standpoint creating genuine connections and therapeutic experiences through the use of experiential, CBT, emotion focused, and Bowenian therapy techniques. She prides herself in utilizing interventions geared towards visual and hands-on learners in her sessions. The population she sees ranges from individuals 13+, couples, and families. In her spare time, she loves Cleveland sports, binge-watching television, playing board games, trivia, and spending quality time with family and friends. Ultimately, Aaliyah believes therapy should be a safe place where you never feel alone while authentically expressing yourself and connections are made without judgment. She is truly excited for you to begin your journey towards healing.
